A Visual Twist to Writing Prompts

From pppst.com ~ Phillip Martin
It is not a new revelation that writing is VERY important and it can be made even more valuable when connected with higher level thinking skills.  Now imagine, also using visuals as a prompt.  How cool would that be?  Here are a few resources to help you get this started.  I imagine these being used as blog posts or prompts that students would use to write frequently and for varying lengths of time (W.CCR4).  These are also effective ways to inspire student thinking and lead in to narrative, argumentative or opinion writing (W.CCR1, W.CCR2, W.CCR3).  Students may also use these images to draw evidence from literary or informational texts.  (W.CCR9)
